NHS Blood and Transplant helps to save thousands of lives each year through blood and organ donation.
For the Organ Donation and Transplantation Directorate, an important part of increasing the number of organ donations and transplants that take place each year is ensuring that timely, accurate and relevant information is available to ensure the highest standards of patient care and support strategic decision making.
The ODT Hub Operations department work to ensure that offering and allocation delivered at a level that consistently meets the highest standards set by the Senior Management Team.

In this role you will be responsible for
- specifying, developing and establishing new business processes and software requirements
- leading the review of existing business processes and software required to evolve in order to improve efficiency and reliability and to facilitate new and enhanced services to the transplant community.
- working closely with the Hub Operations Head of Hub Operations to ensure that the departments strategic objectives are met.
- working closely and regularly with colleagues in other business areas, for example Information Technology, Statistics and Clinical Studies, Quality, third parties and external customers.
- planning and coordinating and contributing to simultaneous project activities across the ODT Hub Operations department, securing and managing the required project resource, monitoring and reporting progress and maintaining and updating the plan in response to changes.
- working closely with the ODT Business Requirements Analyst contributing specialist knowledge to the requirements gathering and project development process.
You will be required to travel and spend time away from base, which will involve working irregular hours and overnight stays when required, with prior notice

- Post graduate training courses or specific experience in a range of areas e.g. user acceptance testing, business requirements analysis change management, health and safety legislation, staff management
- ECDL (part I & II) or ITQ2, or CLAIT II, or RSA III text or word processing or demonstrable workplace experience
