Job summary
In this role you will lead on the implementation and delivery of the Continuous Improvement Programme in Clinical Services, developing major change programmes, a local and national culture of continuous improvement, acting as a key point of expertise for Lean process methodology.
Main duties of the job
Providing continuous improvement support to CS functions, improvement facilitators, senior management, Heads of Functions (HoFs) and operational managers. Liaising with national managers to drive standardisation and optimisation to ensure efficiencies are maximised. Interacting with HoFs and Operational Managers nationally to ensure lessons learnt, and opportunities for improvement are implemented. Facilitating the achievement of strategic objectives by facilitating the use of improvement methodologies to process design, problem-solving, planning and sustainment. Supporting and contributing to the development of improved service delivery for the functions within Clinical Services nationally. Facilitating Value Stream Analysis (VSAs) and identify Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs), embed lean tools, techniques and beliefs. Leading on a range of programmes/projects addressing standardisation, introduction of new ways of working, new technology, service development and improved performance and productivity. Acting as a coach and mentor to support staff developing lean knowledge (including senior managers). Advising in the development of strategic development tools. You will be required to travel and spend time away from base, which will involve working irregular hours and occasional overnight stays when required, with prior notice
