Youll also be leading and supporting a team of Healthcare Assistants in our Plasma Donor Centres, helping them do their best work and build their confidence and skills along the way. Dont worry if you dont have experience with plasma donation well teach you everything you need to know. We offer a full induction and training programme, including around 6 weeks of supernumerary time with a mentor to support you as you settle in. Main duties of the job
In this role, youll lead and support a dedicated team to deliver safe, high-quality care to our plasma donors. You'll help your colleagues grow through mentoring and guidance, while making sure every donor has a positive, reassuring experience. . Heres what youll be doing: :- Leading your team to safely collect plasma and meet programme needs. Making sure all plasma collected meets safety and quality standards. Using your clinical knowledge to assess donor eligibility and make safe decisions. Managing and learning from any issues or safety concerns to keep improving. Be a role model to drive positive change, improve services, and support your colleagues through mentoring, guidance, and strong, inspirational leadership. Coaching your team and supporting them with new procedures and skills. Living our values by creating a culture built on respect, listening, and teamwork. Stepping in for the Plasma Operations Manager when needed and supporting the other Plasma teams. Helping to make the donation experience smooth, positive, and worth coming back for. Youll be part of a rota that includes evening, weekend, and some public holiday shifts but no night shifts. Your schedule will be shared at least four weeks in advance, and occasionally, you may be asked to support the other Plasma centres with prior notice.
