Job summary
Working with senior management teams across NHSBT Pathology and the wider NHSBT this role ensures that NHSBT Pathology is able to secure as wide an implementation of our services and products as possible in both public and private healthcare and scientific research organisations in the UK and internationally. Acting as a liaison between the operational teams of the different functions within Pathology and our customer and coordinating with other areas such as contracting, finance and other scientific functions, to ensure that new products and services are available to those healthcare and research organisations which can benefit from them. The role requires flexibility, self-motivation, imagination and a drive to deliver the organisational agenda.
Main duties of the job
In this role you will be responsible for responsible for research, market analysis, developing marketing plans and sales strategies for NHSBT Pathology. Your responsibilities will include: Being responsible for reviewing market plan performance, highlighting areas of concern and identifying and implementing solutions Developing a marketing strategy for Pathology services to optimise income and enable further development of market share. Representing Pathology at key meetings where marketing and business development is under discussion. Managing existing accounts and business and developing of new business opportunities. Ensuring strategic and growth plans are formulated, developed, and actioned. Overseeing the management and performance of account relationships. Providing marketing expertise to the business management team. You will be required to travel and spend time away from base, which will involve working irregular hours and overnight stays when required, with prior notice
