Job summary
As part of running the Directors office, youll keep them briefed on developments within NHSBT and the media. Managing diaries, organising and documenting meetings and processing highly sensitive information are also important aspects of the role. Building strong working relationships with other departments and organisations will be crucial to your success. Youll have a proactive style, focused on looking for opportunities to reduce or improve administration.
Main duties of the job
You will be required to undertake administration and clerical duties in support of the Plasma for Medicine Directorate. Typically these duties will involve:- Acting as a channel of communication between the Manager(s) you are working for and other internal and external contacts, handling requests to ensure they are handled by the correct people Working with the Executive Assistant to ensure the smooth running of the Directors office and the timely prioritisation of all administrative duties Supporting and deputising for other secretarial and administrative staff as a when required Arranging meetings, producing agenda, taking minutes issuing actions and monitoring/chasing progress on actions General duties: ensuring all records are up to date and accurate, receiving and making calls Undertaking routine correspondence, including drafting of reports, creating presentations and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office 365 on a daily basis You will be required to undertake occasional travel to any NHSBT sites to meet the requirements of the post (notice will be given)
