Main duties of the job
In this role you will be part of a dedicated team of procurement professionals responsible for negotiating and managing a variety of business critical commercial contracts and framework agreements for the provision of goods and services to NHSBT. Your responsibilities include:
- Working closely with suppliers and internal directorate customers to manage the contracting process end to end, to ensure that all interested parties needs are met.
- Delivering contracts that are robust, free from risk, legally binding and importantly cost efficient and effective.
- Ensuring that NHSBT can demonstrate to the public through the scrutiny of internal and external audit, that it obtains best value for money on its contracted non-pay expenditure and achieves savings targets.
- Ensuring compliance with Public Procurement Regulations including the legally mandated OJEU Directives and NHSBT Standing Orders and Financial Instructions.
- Co-ordinating and planning your own work and the work of staff responsible to you via a work programme.
