Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to expand your skill set and advance your pre-existing recruitment skills in our new Talent Acquisition Recruitment (TAR) Team. Working closely with the Recruitment Business Partners you will play an integral part of embedding our new TAR model, driving best recruitment equitable practice across NHSBT. It will offer exciting challenges and the opportunity to work with crucial stakeholders and drive excellence in candidate care.

You will provide effective, efficient, and consistent support to both internal and external stakeholders, thereby empowering our brand as expert recruiters.

Your role will support Clinical Services, Finance and Quality but will with time, move across all other directorates in the organisation.

This will be an excellent opportunity for a recruiter looking for the opportunity enhance their skills as well as learn new skills. The post holder will be adaptable to change and be willing to learn, as well as contribute to the new structure.

Main duties of the job

In this role you will lead and manage all end-to-end recruitment activity for designated directorates and/or specialisms. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for providing value adding recruitment advice to specified directorates, in liaison with People and Culture Partners and Directorate Leadership teams.
  • Delivering all allocated search and find recruitment directly, using appropriate channels and networks to attract a broad range of candidates from the communities that NHSBT serves.
  • Liaising with other team members, to advise and recommend to managers the best options for using recruitment agencies where direct recruitment proves unsuccessful or where the role is identified as hard to fill.
  • Liaising with other team members, to design and deliver appropriate advertising and campaigns for recruiting to roles.
  • Establishing and maintaining a talent pipeline for future vacancies and campaigns.
  • Maintaining engagement with successful candidates and potential future candidates which will include some out of office hours working.
  • Deputising for the Senior Recruiter where required.
