Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to use your social media skills for good, working on high profile national campaigns and large and varied social accounts with a combined audience of over 1.5 million. Youll be a key member of the social media team, using your creative spark and natural storytelling skills to engage current donors and supporters and playing an important role securing our donor base for the future. By getting to know our audiences inside out youll have the opportunity to develop our existing online communities and help build up a presence on new channels. This role offers hybrid working, requiring 2-3 days a week in one of our London-based offices or donor centres. The base location can be either the Tooting or Colindale Centre.
Main duties of the job
In this role you will be a champion of our social media audiences, ensuring that the editorial agenda serves both organisational and audience needs. Your responsibilities will include: Maintaining a content strategy for social media to support further promotion of our brand and values and spread messaging about our lifesaving work. Continuing to grow our social media channels, increasing engagement with our key audiences, and helping to secure our donor base for the future. Developing and managing digital communications tools and campaigns. Developing and delivering intelligent, well-researched, audiencefocused social media content (e.g. text, images, video infographics and headlines), ensuring all content is accurate, up to date and effectively leveraged on all platforms. You will be required to travel and spend time away from base, which will involve working irregular hours and overnight stays when required, with prior notice.
