The studies that we are involved in are designed to continuously improve the quality of care provided to donors and recipients of organs and blood components. The analysis and interpretation of results informs decision-making on developments in donation, transplantation and transfusion, the clinical care of donors and patients, and equity of access to treatment.

Main duties of the job

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Co-ordinating, planning and managing the work of, and providing expertise in, a specialist area, such as the design and analysis of clinical trials.
  • Reporting results of statistical analyses of data on transplantation, blood organ and tissue donation, and transfusion medicine to the NHS Blood and Transplant specialist Advisory Groups, the Department of Health, clinicians in blood and transplantation services and other interested parties
You may be required to travel and spend time away from base, which will involve working irregular hours and overnight stays when required, with prior notice.
