Job summary
Youll be joining an organisation with ambitious plans to improve their technology services over the next 5 years, in this role you will have the opportunity to influence the shape of the Blood Technology Modernisation (BTM) test strategy, working closely with the Head of Software Testing, UAT, business and junior tester to manage the testing process. You will utilise your leadership, negotiation, and communications skills to liaise with the wider product centre to delivery change.
Main duties of the job
In this role you will play a key role in the modernisation of blood technology, which includes the conversion to a .net / C# code base. Your responsibilities will include: Leading a team of functional/technical testers and UAT testers to deliver a thorough and robust testing capability within the blood technology product centre to ensure the safe and secure delivery of technology change to a national critical application into the business Liaising closely with internal and external stakeholders including UAT testers, senior product specialists, Delivery manager, Business Analysts, Quality Assurance/Audit and vendor resources, to ensure testing aligns with the delivery schedule. Presenting and sharing experience to the wider testing community of practice within Digital, Data, Technology Services, and the senior management team Focusing predominantly on test planning and management creating critical test artifacts like test plan & test exit report. Participating in testing delivery work, performing hands on testing, as/when required. Working with our Quality Assurance team to ensure testing processes are followed and align with appropriate recording & approvals You will be required to travel and spend time away from your home base, which may involve working irregular hours and overnight stays when required.
