Job summary

Working with the D&I team, staff networks, trade unions and the wider People directorate this is an exciting opportunity for you to make a difference to supporting NHSBT with its strategic aim of increasing diversity in the workforce and supporting service delivery to meet the needs of diverse communities. Applicants should possess the ability to build networks with others, good influencing skills, report writing ability, analytical data skills, a good understanding of the diversity agenda and a working knowledge of diversity legislation.

Main duties of the job

Ensure NHSBT meets the requirements of current and planned equality and diversity legislation and NHS good practice guidance. Work with a range of stakeholders across NHSBT in order to develop and implement initiatives that supports the broad diversity and inclusion agenda. Working as part of the D&I Team, governance structures and with staff networks the post holder will have a key role in developing the expertise and leading implementation on matters relating to diversity and inclusion. Work with colleagues to develop the expertise and knowledge of the Board, Executive Team, managers and employees on matters relating to diversity and inclusion. You will be required to travel and spend time away from base, which will involve working irregular hours and overnight stays when required, with prior notice
