Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to lead a project that will oversee the seamless relocation of over 150 people and a range of life saving services from a Bristol based satellite centre to NHS Blood and Transplants Bristol based headquarters. This role supports flexible home-based working, but the post-holder will be required to attend two Bristol based centres regularly ranging from one to two days per week and so must be willing and able to accommodate this request. You will play a vital part in this transformation programme, working with a team who are seeking to save costs for NHSBT and have a major impact on the donor experience. Your tasks will be hugely varied, ranging from building mutually beneficial relationships with other public sector organisations and venue suppliers, to extracting and manipulating data to identify cost-saving efficiencies. Your final recommendations will be supported by detailed analysis and will be meticulously documented with flawless project management reporting techniques.
Main duties of the job
In this role, you will support the business in setting up projects and successfully managing them to conclusion. Your responsibilities will include: Managing projects to the highest professional standards and ensuring compliance with standards, regulation, and instructions. Supporting the business in setting up the project prior to entering delivery stages Developing the skills to manage a single or a range of NHSBT projects at different stages in their lifecycle. Collaborating in the development and improvement of the NHSBT Portfolio, Programme and Project Management tools and methods Ensuring project deliverables are within plans tightly linked to the achievement of strategic initiatives for business cases. Ensuring the project delivers to time, cost, and quality in a controlled manner. Mitigating risks and ensuring issues are resolved. Planning, supporting, executing, and monitoring the project delivery outputs. Providing clear and accurate reporting of the projects status.
