Job summary

An exciting role responsible for developing and implementing content strategy for an organisation dedicated to saving and improving patients lives through the promotion of blood and organ donation. You will be responsible for managing a team of dedicated content designers and a videographer. Responsible for planning, developing, and distributing content, monitoring its effectiveness across a wide range of channels. This 12-month fixed term contract, covering a secondment, will lead and support on multiple projects and campaigns during this time.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for scoping, commissioning, writing, editing and publishing digital content across all NHSBT websites, micro sites and mobile experience. Your duties will include :- Utilising user research, auditing existing content, identifying content gaps and overlaps to improve user experience and achieve KPIs. Ensuring content across all NHSBT channels is in line with current NHSBT digital standards, including tone of voice, screen responsive, accessibility and meeting user needs across the customer journey. Ensuring accuracy and accessibility of information and user satisfaction with public facing website content measured by on site surveys. Delivering content assets that are accurate, timely, high quality and to NHSBTs brand and digital standards. Managing a team of content designers and a videographer Managing multiple relationships within own department and across NHSBT and within government to ensure that digital publishing adheres to brand guidelines, tone of voice and NHSBT values. Working with difference stakeholders, including the Campaign Teams and Product Owners to develop and agree messages, customer journeys, landing pages and measurements based on user needs. Managing the planning and delivery of the global backlog, workflow, sprint planning, communication, and publishing processes

  • Educated to postgraduate diploma level e.g. Chartered Institute of Marketing, IDM Diploma or equivalent qualification OR equivalent experience
  • Experience gained in a Digital, Web or Content role
  • Willingness to undertake continuing development and training as required
  • Demonstrates commitment to own continued professional development (CPD)

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working in a Digital role, using web authorising tools and CMS
  • Experience of agile working and/or GDS digital services framework
  • Experience of interpreting sitemaps and a working knowledge of web usability, accessibility and creating wireframes
  • Experience of producing written material for the web to a high standard, web copywriting, editing and proofreading material
  • Experience of implementing change which has driven up performance levels across a significant area.
  • Supervisory and leadership experience
  • Experience of distilling complex information into simple language for intended recipient, in plain English, both verbally and in writing
  • Experience of project management & involvement in validations/pilots/trials
  • Experience of analysing and acting on various and complex sources or information
