Job summary
This post requires an expert in the field of strategic delivery and transformation, to provide effective and highly visible leadership within Cell, Apheresis and Gene Therapies (CAGT). In this role you will lead on Business Planning and Transformational change initiatives and be responsible for developing and embedding the governance required within CAGT to effectively deliver strategic ambitions including transformation, business planning cycles and performance monitoring. Acting as the expert change lead for the sub-directorate they will be accountable for CAGTs transformation portfolio, including the planning and delivery of major operational change programmes, IT/digital software releases, programme of system development and continuous improvement plans. You will be a key member of the CAGT strategy working group and will lead on development, deployment and governance/monitoring of business plans and report on progress with portfolio delivery.
Main duties of the job
In this role you will be responsible for leading strategic transformation within Cell, Apheresis and Gene Therapies (CAGT). Your responsibilities will include: Working in the CAGT Senior Management Team, plus stakeholders across NHSBT and elsewhere, you will be responsible for leading the development and definition of the transformational change portfolio that will underpin the CAGT service line strategy and annual business plans, identifying the programmes, projects, support activities, resources and approvals necessary to deliver it. Define a roadmap of strategic business change initiatives needed to deliver the operating model. Support CAGT in implementing change to ensure key corporate, national, and local targets are achieved within agreed timescales. To act as a delegated manager on behalf of Director when needed for all teams within Cell, Apheresis and Gene Therapies.
