Job summary
Hospital Customer Service provide a two-way service; outward to hospital transfusion laboratories to promote NHSBTs services and provide biomedical science advice and support; and inward to blood component and diagnostic services in NHSBT to provide customer and business intelligence and support change. You will, acts as deputy to Head of HCS and lead a team to bring customer feedback and business insight together to form actionable intelligence that leads to improved service for hospital customers, patients, and internal functions. Youll have an opportunity to influence widely and achieve results that will make a difference to our hospital customers. Youll ensure customer complaints are managed effectively and lead to improvement. Talking a lead on communication you will direct developments to our website, publish our monthly update to hospitals. Youll be involved in business-critical communication to support NHSBT and customer needs. Youll support the Head of HCS lead and develop the team and ensure we deliver great service to our customers. The role will give you opportunity to work with national groups both internally and externally and as an advocate for hospital customers and their patients influence how services and components are developed. Your transfusion and/or NHSBT operational knowledge will prove invaluable as the role covers the full range of NHSBT products and services including blood, blood component and diagnostic services.
Main duties of the job
In this role your duties and responsibilities will include: Making outbound calls to promote the use of NHSBT tissue products and services across the NHS and private hospital procurement channels and to allocated key accounts throughout the UK. Generating sales of Tissue products to agreed targets. Understanding and remaining up to date on NHS environments, specifically procurement. Using remote contact / E-detailing as the primary method of communication to customers. Employing a wide range of promotional tactics to successfully develop sales. Supporting and working with the wider sales team, progressing opportunities through strong business planning. Supporting and working with Customer Care colleagues to identify and progress sales opportunities through the sales adoption ladder. You will be required to travel and spend time away from base, which will involve working irregular hours when required, with prior notice.
