The purpose of the Outpatient Nurse role is to clinically and operationally support outpatient department at Healthshare Clinic West London to promote and ensure excellent patient care. The post holder takes responsibility to the role under the direction of the Outpatient Lead Nurse.

The Healthshare Clinic West London Outpatient Department consists of seven outpatient consulting rooms, one minor operations/treatment room, and one phlebotomy room. The post holder is responsible for the day to day nursing needs of the department, ensuring the efficient and effective use of all recourses in order to deliver high quality, safe and effective patient care in an environment of continuous improvement.

Main duties of the job

This is a clinical role and the post holder will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe and evidence based clinical care, including phlebotomy and cannulation, assisting consultants with minor operations and procedures, wound management, injections, chaperoning, etc.

The post holder will be expected to regularly assess and deliver direct patient care in order to maintain professional competence, authority and credibility. To set and maintain high standard of care and be accountable for auditing and monitoring of care. To work flexible in order to meet the needs of the service.
