Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, well organised and motivated podiatrist with a keen interest in the at risk foot, to join our team. You will be responsible for assessment and planning of individual patient care, working autonomously and as part of the high risk wound care team to provide high quality podiatric care to those patients who need it the most. Excellent communication skills and team working are essential.
Main duties of the job
You must demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of current evidence-based practice and be able to apply this appropriately clinically. A drive to improve your skills and expand your expertise is desirable for this role. We deliver patient care in a variety of clinical and community settings with a caseload focusing on the medically at risk and/ or those who have a high podiatric need.
You will be involved in nail surgery sessions, high risk clinics and have the opportunity to rotate through the foot protection team and musculoskeletal clinics in order to support the development of your skills and interests further.
You will work alongside experienced podiatrists and encouraged in your professional development. We are committed to CPD and promoting evidence-based practice and providing a high standard of care throughout the service. We offer support through regular 1:1 meetings, clinical supervision, in-house CPD, and ongoing training to support the development of all our staff.
We are looking for a full time permanent candidate, working 40 hours per week.
You will have a degree/diploma in podiatric medicine and be HCPC registered.
