Job summary

Clark avenue surgery is looking to appoint a health care assistant and is looking for a dynamic, motivated candidate to take advantage of this exciting opportunity. You must be willing to work as part of a team and provide excellent clinical care and support to our patients in a varied role

The successful candidate will be employed by the GP Practice/Medical Centre, not Aneurin Bevan University Health Board

Main duties of the job

Required duties include:

New patient health checks, ECG recording, Phlebotomy, Routine immunisations (b12’s, flu etc), Spirometry. Please refer to the full job description and person specification for further details.

An enhanced disclosure barring service check will be undertaken by the practice which will meet the cost of the check.

Clark Avenue Surgery has a 10,000+ patient list size and is situated in Pontnewydd to the North of Cwmbran.Clinically, the surgery benefits from four GP Partners, three salaried GP's, Practice Pharmacist, Advanced Nurse Practitioner and experienced nurse team.Administratively, the surgery benefits from an experienced team including Practice Manager, Medical Secretaries, Prescribing Clerks and Receptionists.We are a training practice, so have regular GP Registrars, Academy Nurses and Medical Students joining us on placements.
