Fixed Term Maternity Cover for Practice Nurse – Pendre Surgery, Mold, CH7 6PL

We are looking to recruit a friendly, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Practice Nurse to join our team for maternity cover, commencing 12th September.

We pride ourselves on being a patient focused community practice and even in these challenging times strive to offer the best personal care. We are GP Training Practice and achieve High QAIF standards.

We are a well-established GP Practice in Mold with just over 10,000 patients. Our team consists of 6 GP Partners, 1 Salaried GP, 2 ANP’s, 3 Practice Nurses, 2 HCA’s and a small Pharmacy team.

We are also supported by a health board pharmacist and have regular clinics for our patients with occupational therapists, a community psychiatric nurse and audiologists.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will be required to have proven interpersonal and clinical skills. Therefore, skills in the following clinics are essential.

- Diabetes review

- COPD

- Asthma

- Child imm’s

- NOAC

- Travel Imms

We welcome professionals with the drive to bring new areas of special interest to the practice with a view to enhancing the care we provide across the clinical team.

Reporting to The GP partnership clinically and Practice Manager administratively.

Hours and Salary

Ideally, we are looking for a Practice Nurse with GP Practice experience, although not essential. The vacancy is for 1 year commencing September 2022, the hours will be 28 hours per week over four days between the hours of 9.00am-5.30pm.

Salary - will be dependent on experience.

Holidays- Five weeks’ holiday pro rata, plus bank holidays and the NHS pension scheme is in place

About Pendre Surgery (Mold)

The present premises of Pendre Surgery were originally built in 1965 and were one of the first purpose-built in Wales. The surgery was extended in 1990 and 2000. As Mold is situated in a rural area, Pendre Surgery also serves the surrounding villages.The surgery is situated at the junction of West View with Clayton Road. The local GP co-operative is used over the weekend from 6.30pm Friday to 8.00am on Monday, and between 6.30pm and 8.00am during weekdays, along with NHS 111.The doctors practice together as a non-limited partnership. We undertake training for undergraduate medical students and we mentor pharmacists and nurse practitioners
