A rare opportunity has arisen for a salary GP (with a view to Partnership) in this well established six Partner Practice who are forward thinking, aiming to deliver excellent holistic high quality care to our patients. The Practice ethos is one of collaboration and mutual support for its staff.

We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic salaried GP to join the team 4-8 sessions per week.

As a salaried GP within this forward-thinking practice, you will be an integral part of the clinical team responsible for delivering comprehensive patient care to our 7,300 patients in this predominantly rural based Practice. We are a GP training practice and currently have two GPs in training along with Primary Care Academy and University CBL students.

Main duties of the job

Clinical Duties:

Engage in both face-to-face and telephone consultations, covering same-day and planned care including home visits.

Efficiently manage test results in cooperation with other GPs.

Facilitate effective communication and handovers with team members.

Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests, follow-ups and safety netting for patients.

Team Integration:

Participate actively in team meetings and quality improvement projects.

Mentor and supervise less experienced team members, contributing to training initiatives.

Collaborate with various healthcare professionals, ensuring a team-based approach to patient care.

Care Delivery:

Focus on providing safe, high-quality care by managing continuity for complex cases.

Maintain clear clinical records and document your reasoning for decisions.

Ensure compliance with practice policies and guidelines including confidentiality and data protection.

About us

We are a very welcoming practice with approximately 7,300 patients covering two sites. We currently have 6 Partners, 2 salaried GP's, 3 Nurses, 2 Assistant Practitioners, 1 Health Care Assistant and Phlebotomist together with an experienced administrative team.

To deliver highly effective medical care to the practice population.

Provide services commensurate with the GMS contract

Prescribing in adherence to local and national guidelines

Effectively manage long term and acute conditions

Complete administration tasks in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescriptions and other associated administrative tasks.

Undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles.

Accurately maintain clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance.

To work collaboratively, with an equal share of the practice workload.

Adhere to best practice as recommended through clinical guidelines and audit processes.

Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice.

Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) of the QAIF/Enhanced Services.

Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as required.

Participate in the development and maintenance of the practice including; clinical governance and training.

Ensure compliance with the appraisal and revalidation process.

Commit to self learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional development across the practice team.

Support the training of medical students as required.

Support the partners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice, making recommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditure.

Review and adhere to practice policies at all times.

Encourage collaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly, promoting a culture of continuous improvement at all times.
