The Clinic Surgery is a forward-thinking Practice working from brand-new purpose-built premises in Ruthin, which is a picturesque market town nestled within an area of outstanding natural beauty. We offer a superb spacious working environment and have a traditional GP ethos committed to delivering high quality healthcare.
We are part of Ruthin Community Hospital where we have several GP beds. The hospital also offers a number of clinics such as ECG, wound care and phlebotomy . Our Surgery has a semi- rural catchment area, and we are perhaps unique in being able to satisfy virtually all our patients requests for an on the day face to face appointment. We have a reliable dynamic team of clinicians and administrative staff who work together within a supportive culture. We also have a strong community team who cover most care home and home visits. In addition, we have our own dispensary on site that provides an efficient and friendly service to our patients.
We are looking for a GP to join the Practice as a GP Partner or salaried GP with a view to partnership in the future. We could offer some flexibility in working patterns and believe in a work life balance.

Main duties of the job
We are a forward-thinking, single-handed Practice ideally looking for a partner to join us but would consider a salaried GP with a view to partnership in the future who could commit to 2-4 sessions a week. We value holistic patient care with sustainable workloads and a great work life balance.

Job responsibilities
Undertake a variety of duties including surgery face to face, telephone and online consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion
Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health
Providing counselling and health education Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate
Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards and Read Codes Collecting data for audit purposes
Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever possible)
Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate
Completion of medical reports (including NHS and private services as required)
Adhering to practice policies and procedures
Ensuring adherence to GDPR and confidentiality requirements
Adhering to the practices Equality and Diversity Policy GMC Registration with no restrictions
Currently on the national GP Register
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience of clinical systems and Microsoft Office applications
Clear and polite manner
Effective time management
