Job summary
The candidate will work in a large, busy, modern GP Practice with a list size of 25,000 patients. The post holder will join a team of four Practice Nurses, four Health Care Support Workers and two phlebotomists providing clinical support in the areas of diabetes, respiratory, womens health and family planning, wounds, among others.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will undertake a range of duties and responsibilities as part of a team to support the Practice in delivering care to its patients. Main duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Chronic disease management to includes diabetes, respiratory and womens health as examples
- Wound management
- Immunisations
- Womens Health and family planning
- Adherence to Infection Control procedures
- Taking and recording observations such as BP monitoring
- Venepuncture

We are one of the largest GP practices in Wales serving over 25,000 patients across three sites. We have a great team of 7 partners, 8 salaried GPs, 5 nurses, 4 HCAs and a clinical pharmacist. We have first contact physio every day and GP Support officers who deal with housing, benefits, social services queries, social prescribing etc.
