Job summary

Work as part of our friendly, fun loving team. We are a high QAIF achieving practice, sharing clinical knowledge and experience in a rural GP Practice which supports undergraduate teaching from Cardiff University.

We also commit to the local Community Hospital in Dolgellau.

In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

Main duties of the job

Manage patient caseloads and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting and undertake additional professional roles and responsibilities as agreed at appointment.

Ensure awareness, compliance and undertaking of all relevant practice policies/guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety.

The successful applicant should also effectively communicate and respect the privacy, dignity, needs and beliefs of patients, carers and colleagues, and behave in a welcoming manner that is non judgmental to the individual, respecting their circumstances, feelings priorities and rights.

About us

Located in sunny Barmouth, where the mountains meet the sea. Minfor Surgery is a seaside town with plenty to offer.

There are two Clinical Partners and a non-clinical Managing Partner, a list size of 4200 patients. A friendly, flexible and relaxed team.

Salaried GP: At Minfor Surgery, Park Road, Barmouth, Gwynedd, LL42 1PL.

Hours of work: TBC Sessions a week. There are no OOH commitments but sessions are available locally through the LHB.

Contract type: Permanent position.

Salary: BMA guidance for Salaried.
