Job responsibilities

Salaried GP: At Minfor Surgery, Park Road, Barmouth, Gwynedd, LL42 1PL.

Hours of work: TBC Sessions a week. There are no OOH commitments but sessions are available locally through the LHB.

Contract type: Permanent position.

Role Summary and Responsibilities:

Work as part of a multi-disciplinary, very high QAIF achieving team sharing clinical knowledge and experience in a rural GP Practice which supports undergraduate teaching from Cardiff University.

Manage patient caseloads and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting and undertake additional professional roles and responsibilities as agreed at appointment. Ensure awareness, compliance and undertaking of all relevant practice policies/guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety. The successful applicant should also effectively communicate and respect the privacy, dignity, needs and beliefs of patients, carers and colleagues, and behave in a welcoming manner that is non judgmental to the individual, respecting their circumstances, feelings priorities and rights.

We also commit to the local Community Hospital.

In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

Annual Leave:

6 weeks with pro rata bank holiday entitlement.

Study Leave:

1 week pro rata.
