We are currently looking candidates for permanent role Band 6 Physiotherapist Option Rotational or Static area to join our amazing team.

The Northern Care Alliance NHS Group (NCA)brings together staff and services from Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust (SRFT) and The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust (PAT).

Our dedicated 19,500-strong team our NCA Family delivers healthcare excellence to over one million people across Salford, Oldham, Rochdale and Bury, as well as providing more specialist services to patients from Greater Manchester and beyond.

Main duties of the job

Responsibilities: -

  • To be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of your own work including the management of patients in your care.
  • To accept clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of patients, and to organize this efficiently and effectively regarding clinical priorities and use of time.
  • To ensure a high standard of clinical care for the patients under your management, and support more junior staff to do likewise.
  • To undertake the comprehensive holistic assessment of patients, including those with a complex presentation, using investigative and analytical skills. Where indicated a specialist physiotherapy assessment is performed.
  • To formulate an individualized physiotherapy management and /or treatment plan, using documented clinical reasoning skills and utilizing a wide range of treatment skills (including manual physiotherapy techniques) and options to formulate a specialized program of care.
  • To make appropriate referrals for patients to other disciplines as necessary to aid their rehabilitation e.g., podiatry, orthotics.
  • In working with adults who are parents/cares the needs of their children are assessed to ensure that appropriate services are delivered to these children and families.

  • To work across community and hospital settings with experience of a wide knowledgebase that can be adapted for each setting.
  • To be experienced and skilled in the holistic assessment of patients needs and the development, implementation, and evaluation of treatment programs.
  • To support senior members of the team in delivering evidence-based patient care. To carry out assessment and treatment across community settings.
  • To work as a member of the multidisciplinary team, coordinating regalement programs in the patients own home.

To apply for this post, you will:

  • Current HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist.
  • BSC / MSC Physiotherapy.
  • Evidence of at least 1 year, post graduate experience in relevant specialist areas.
  • Significant post registration NHS experience including experience of working in all core clinical areas.
  • Evidence of wide clinical theoretical knowledge base.
  • Experience of working as part of an integrated MDT.
  • Evidence of CPD.
  • Ability to travel freely across the sites (Car owner/user and full driving license is essential).
