Job summary
We have
an exciting opportunity for a Team Lead Physiotherapist to join the Medicine
Physiotherapy team at Princess Alexandra Hospital. You will provide skilled
team leadership in planning and delivering high standards of physiotherapy
assessment, management, treatment, and advice to patients on the medical wards.
You will support advanced assessment and management of patients with complex or
multi-pathology presentations, determining the best delivery of care in
conjunction with the multidisciplinary team (MDT). You will work as an
autonomous professional, adhering to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
(CSP) rules of professional conduct and standards, as well as the Health
Professions Council (HPC) regulations.
Main duties of the job
As a
Team Lead Physiotherapist, you will undertake service reviews and audits to
evaluate quality, efficiency, and outcomes, implementing changes in practice to
maintain excellence in clinical care. You will take a lead role in the
supervision, teaching, and appraisal of physiotherapists, non-qualified staff,
students, and multi-disciplinary team members in physiotherapeutic care within
this specialty. You will be assessing a wide range of conditions experienced by
patients within this specialty, drawing on advanced knowledge of anatomy,
physiology, and pathology, even in situations where conflicting evidence is
present. You will ensure consistent and effective physiotherapy practice across
the team and support colleagues to achieve the same.
