Job Title: Childrens Wellbeing Practitioner

Trust: South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust

Location: Johns Angell Town Primary School, 85 Angell Road, London, SW9 7HH

Ward: Child and young persons wellbeing team

Shift Patterns: Monday Friday 9.00am 17.00pm

Main duties of the job

Youll be working in a service which is embracing compassionate leadership and the need to innovate and work differently in supporting childrens mental health. You will also be working within the Lambeth CWP programme, providing high volume low intensity interventions, consisting of a range of self-management courses to Children and Young People and their families experiencing mild to moderate anxiety, depression and/or challenging behaviour.

The team consists of a CWP Service Lead, a Specialist Clinical Practitioner, 2 Recruit to Train Trainee CBT Therapists, 4 qualified CWPs and 2 Trainee CWPS

Job responsibilities

To screen referrals on assigned CWP duty dates and respond to queries within the service.

Provide a range of information and support for evidence based high-volume-low-

intensity evidence based GSH courses. This work may be face to face, telephone or via other media.

To assess and support children and young people with common mental health problems in improving resilience and self-management.

In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of

  • Relevant Qualifications
  • Registration with the relevant Registration Body if applicable.
