About the Trust

Were a community and mental health trust, providing a wide range of services to people of all ages living in Berkshire. And to do this, we employ approximately 4,500 staff who operate from our many sites as well as out in peoples homes and in various community settings.

Main duties of the job

Meet the Head of Service regularly to ensure that he/she is kept up to date with operational issues and contributing, where appropriate, to operational and wider strategic planning issues related to the service; intercepting and raising any staffing or other issues of concern within the department.

Deputise for the Head of Service, during his/her absence, for all organisation and managerial aspects of the service.

Monitor, oversee and coordinate any projects set by the Head of Service.

Attend, and prepare a written record of designated meetings, within and outside department.

Coordinate the installation and commissioning of various projects as they arise. This may involve liaison with suppliers, establishments, facilities and other agencies, the Head of Service and clinical staff.

Handle sensitive material and dealing with non-clinical complaints ensuring a satisfactory and acceptable outcome.
