CroydonHealth Services NHS Trust is part of the National Health Service (NHS) andwas formed in July 2010 with the integration ofMayday Healthcare NHS Trust withCroydonCommunity Health Services. Croydon Health Services provides integrated NHS services to care for people at home, in schools, and health clinics across the borough as well as at Croydon University Hospital and Purley War Memorial Hospital.

Main duties of the job

Provide administrative and clerical support to the Integrated Surgery, Cancer and Clinical Support Services and the Directorates team. The emphasis will be on delivering efficient and effective operational management and administrative systems and ensuring that all clinical rotas are covered.

Assist in delivering corporate and directorate targets. Deliver reliable and accurate information to support the directorates functions; support and implement management decisions. Deal with complex issues with respect to information and performance. Provide day to day operational management. Working unsupervised using own initiative to support the Directorate.

Responsible for the creation and pro-active management of the Surgical on-call rota and other departmental rotas within.

Close liaison with key stakeholders, understanding the demands and complexities of each service in order to support the provision of cost-efficient medical rotas. The post holder will play a pivotal role in ensuring appropriate internal locum cover and reducing the reliance on external medical agency usage, avoiding unnecessary associated expenditure.
