About the Trust

We deliver district general services to 2.5m residents of Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, and its surrounding communities. Our specialist services allow us to deliver care to 4.5m people from across the East Midlands and nationally for a handful of services. QMC is where our Emergency Department (ED), Major Trauma Centre and the Nottingham Childrens Hospital are based. It is also home to the University of Nottinghams School of Nursing and Medical School. Nottingham City Hospital is our planned care site, where our cancer centre, heart centre and stroke services are based, and where some of our emergency admissions units are located. Ropewalk House is where we provide a range of outpatient services, including hearing services.

Main duties of the job

Provide accurate, timely and sound advice to managers on HR policies, employment law, terms and conditions ensuring consistent interpretation and application to effectively achieve the delivery of the HR Business Plan.

Proactively keep up to date with employment legislation and NHS initiatives / guidelines and share knowledge with colleagues and internal customers

To be conversant with the Trusts employment policies and procedures, Agenda for Change

Terms and Conditions of employment and other HR related issues, demonstrating a sound

working knowledge of the practical implications and application of these to internal customers.

As part of the Divisional / Departmental HR team, provide support in meeting divisional HR

KPIs, including Appraisal compliance, Mandatory training compliance, Attendance management
