About the Trust
The Trust is one of the largest specialist mental health providers in the country, providing inpatient and community-based mental health care for people living in Bolton, the city of Manchester, Salford, Trafford and Wigan, and a wide range of specialist mental health and addiction services across Greater Manchester, the north west of England and beyond.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for developing and embedding a robust strategy for clinical governance, patient safety, quality assurance, which ensures that governance, quality and safety are seen as the responsibility of all staff, supported by an appropriately skilled and responsive governance team
Provide the required high-level assurances to the Trust Board and Executive Team via the Chief Improvement and Compliance Officer by ensuring that clinical governance arrangements are fit for purpose.
Provide leadership and line management to the Head of Quality Improvement, Head of Patient Safety, Head of Risk and Resilience, Head of Health & Safety, and Head of Service User and Carer Involvement.
Responsible for professional leadership and development of improvement strategies in the areas of Quality Assurance, Patient Safety, Clinical Effectiveness and Complaints and PALS.
Corporate responsibility for developing and overseeing the development and implementation of Quality Governance framework within the Trust, liaising closely with the Chief Nurse
