Based at Farnham Road hospital, Guildford with some flexible working.

37.5 hours per week Monday Friday 08.00-16.00

Band 5 - £18.57/hr

Travelling to various sites across the Surrey region required

Do you have experience as a CAD Technician and wanted to use your skills to help our NHS? Do you have a thorough understanding of reading and producing technical drawings to a high standard? Are you passionate about your work and see your future career working in the public sector?

If so, then please read on Surrey & Borders Partnership NHSFT are looking for an experienced CAD Technician to join their existing team to assist them in bringing their existing drawings up to the latest standard. The role will require a high level of concentration and attention to detail with complex data and information for sustained periods.

Main duties of the job

Prepare, edit, update, and print AutoCAD drawings using contractor surveys and/or as directed by the engineers.

Revision, corrections and auditing of existing drawings, working with layers, base planning, poly-lining and X-Refs to comply with updated standards. Trust drawings will cover site, building, and floor layout plans, fire plans, and all types of services plans as well as small projects of a varying nature.

Identify faults and errors relating to the drawing files or drawing information.

Adding space layers and required information to plans and ensuring that all naming conventions are updated to form a newly introduced convention style.

Creation of project plans and demonstrate progress at weekly meetings.
