About the Trust
The Northern Care Alliance is an NHS Foundation Trust (NCA FT) created by bringing together two NHS Trusts, Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust and The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. The NCA FT was formally established on 1 October 2021.The NCA has been working together as a group since 2016.
Main duties of the job
Deliver a high quality, comprehensive and effective range of generalist HR services to management and staff of designated areas within the Care Organisation.
Provide professional advice and support to managers on the interpretation and application of HR policies and procedures, terms and conditions of service and legislation, promoting good employee relations at all times and ensuring legal obligations are maintained.
Case manages a range of complex ER issues within a designated division and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels throughout this process.
Assist and support managers through all stages of the disciplinary and grievance procedures, including assisting with investigations and the preparation of management-side cases, and attending hearings as appropriate. When not involved with disciplinary and grievance investigations, to attend hearings as a member of the panel and as secretary to the hearings.
Proactive in supporting managers in a consistent approach to the handling of sickness absence through the application of the relevant policies and procedures, thereby supporting the Trusts target in reducing levels of sickness absence.
