Job Title: - Nurse Team Leader Prisons

Trust: - Barnet, Enfield and Haringey MH NHS Trust

Location: HMP Pentonville & HMP Brixton

Pay Rate: Day £20.36 per hour

Sat/Nights £25.45 per hour

Sun/Bank Hols £30.54 per hour

Contract length: On going full time Long term

Shift Pattern: - Full time/Part time

Monday to Friday 9am-5pm

What you can add:

• RMN with NMC registration
• ENB 998 or teaching equivalent
• Dip/BSc (Hons) in Mental Health Nursing, Social Work or Occupational Therapy
• Evidence of further post registration education and training or equivalent teaching and assessing qualification.
• Recognised training in teaching/mentorship/supervision.
• Act as lead nurse for a defined group of patients and liaises with the primary / associate nurses to ensure a consistent approach to delivering care.
• Act as the charge nurse for the unit, organising clinics if required, data collection as required and provide a holistic care approach to the clients.
• Enter and maintain records using electronic and paper based systems.

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.

What you'll need:

• Post registration experience as a Band 5 Mental Health Nurse/OT or Social Worker, preferably within a Forensic Setting.
• Experience / Interest In group work, talking therapies and therapeutic activities.
• Experience of working within a Trauma informed framework.
• Experience of working with Neuro developmental Disorders.
• Minimum of 18 months post qualification experience
• Experience of working within a specialist area of mental health
• Experience of leading a team to achieve objectives and high standards of patient care
• Experience of developing and maintaining effective links with external agencies to enhance patient care
• Experience of writing reports and acting as an advocate for service users
• Experience of conducting appraisals and personal development planning and of providing feedback in a constructive way
