Main duties of the job

  • What youll be responsible for:

  • Undertake nursing assessment and evaluation to enable development of appropriate plans of care based on the needs of the individual.

  • Be able to work under own initiative and without direct supervision.

  • Be proficient in the delivery of care to patients.

  • Ensure safe administration of drugs in accordance with NMC and CHS policies.

  • Ensure accurate records are kept in accordance with CHS policy and NMC guidelines.

  • Carry out nursing procedures and techniques in accordance with agreed policies and standards.

Job Title:Registered Oncology Nurse

Trust:University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust

Location:Main hospitals Plymouth.

Pay Rates:£17.69 to £28.30

Shift Patterns:Start times can range from as early as 7:30am to as late as 7:30pm, with finish times from 7:30am to 10pm. Earlies, mids and nights. Shifts can be 5 to 12 hours long.

University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust provides comprehensive secondary and tertiary healthcare to people across the southwest peninsula. The Trust works within a network of other hospitals to offer a range of specialist services such as kidney transplant, cardiothoracic surgery and neonatal intensive care and high-risk obstetrics.
