Job Title: Cardiographer (Band 2) Location: Cardiology Suite Salary: Agenda for Change Band 2 Reports to: Non-Invasive Cardiology Lead

Job Purpose: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiographer to join our dynamic Cardiology Suite at Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will provide high-quality electrocardiography services across various clinical settings, including wards, Accident & Emergency, Outpatients, and the Cardiology Suite.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine resting 12 Lead Electrocardiograms (ECGs) to national standards across the Trust.
• Fit and remove Ambulatory ECG and BP monitors, ensuring recordings of high diagnostic quality.
• Recognize and report basic normal and abnormal rhythms to senior colleagues.
• Maintain patient comfort and dignity during procedures, providing compassionate care.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to a high standard of patient care.
• Participate in clinical audits and research projects to improve service delivery.
• Adhere to departmental procedures and Trust policies, including health and safety, confidentiality, and information governance.

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with ECG procedures.
• Strong understanding of patient care principles and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships within a team.
• Physical capability to manage the demands of the role, including standing for long periods and maneuvering equipment.
• Commitment to professional development and ongoing training.
