Main duties of the job
In this role you will:
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in the specialist field of Breast Imaging for the screening, detection and investigation of cancers
Undertake highly specialised mammography imaging techniques that require the operation of advanced acquisition and processing software with excellent hand-eye co-ordination.
Undertake all aspects of mammography, to include working in the West Berkshire Breast Screening Unit, on the community based mobile unit(s) and within the main Radiology Department
Assess and evaluate special needs of individual clients/patients and adapt positioning technique and procedures to their clinical need. This can involve overcoming barriers to understanding, such as mental health, language or disability problems.

Post Graduate Certificate in Mammography or equivalent recognised qualification
provision of a breast screening imaging and diagnostic service for the West Berkshire Breast Screening Service and the Symptomatic Breast Service
be required to work within the Radiology Department, the Breast Screening Unit and on the community based Mobile Screening Unit(s)

- Relevant experience in a hospital setting as well a post graduate training and work experience in Mammography
- Attentive, observant, calm and reassuring personality
