Job Title: Biomedical Scientist

Main duties of the job
To participate in & develop the scientific & technical activities of the department
Act as a mentor and provide supervision/training for more junior scientific & support staff
To be responsible for the standard and quality of results issued
To participate in cross site working between Wigan and Salford as and when required. (It is anticipated that in the future, duties could include work based at any of the sites within PAWS or the Northern Care Alliance.)

Essential
- HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientist
- BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences (IBMS approved) or approved alternative science degree plus post graduate certificate in Biomedical Science or equivalent
Experience
Essential
- Minimum 2 years post registration laboratory training
- Specialist knowledge across a range of work procedures and practices underpinned by theoretical knowledge
