Hours: Full Time - 37.5 hours per week, 09:00 - 17:45 Monday to Friday

Pay rate: Day £17.69

You will be responsible for accurately and safely providing necessary care to patients engaging with the service in the Trust. Main Responsibilities:

To assist the dispensary and stores manager (and their deputies) to deliver a safe and efficient pharmacy service.

To dispense in-patient, one-stop and discharge medication requests including stock supplies and distribution of drugs to wards and peripheral hospitals as per standard operating procedures.

To dispense ward stock and TTO (to take out) controlled drugs, ensuring that prescriptions and orders conform to the Misuse of Drugs Act..

To supervise the day to day running of distribution by managing assistants and ensuring the availability of appropriate levels of staff at all times and break times are monitored

To be successful in applying for this role you will need:

Professional registration as a Pharmacy Technician through membership with the General Pharmaceutical Council

NVQ level 3 Pharmacy services or BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or SCOTVEC or equivalent

Accredited Checking Technician or willing to work towards it

Accredited Medicines Optimisation Technician or willing to work towards it

Post qualification Pharmacy experience in Acute UK hospital/Community Pharmacy/CCG/GP practice/HMP

Experience of stock control

In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of

  • Relevant Qualifications
  • Registration with the relevant Registration Body if applicable.
