Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Paediatric Physiotherapist in the Childrens Therapies team at the Oxford Childrens Hospital. We are seeking an eager candidate who is able to provide a high standard of physiotherapy services to all paediatric patients within speciality areas of Acute Respiratory, Cystic Fibrosis, Oncology/haematology and Elective Inpatient Orthopaedics.
Main duties of the job

- To provide an effective and efficient physiotherapy service to patients, including assessing, treating and delegating the changing workload within the designated specialist area and wider Paediatric caseload.
- Perform specialist assessment of patients, and from this formulate a diagnosis and treatment plan, which is carried out as an autonomous practitioner.
- To improve paediatric skills and knowledge through the various speciality areas. There will also be the opportunity to gain experience in Neurorehabilitation and Trauma patients.
- Assist in the supervision, and teaching of Band 5 physiotherapists, and physiotherapy students.
- Support the team leader and undertake delegated responsibilities.
- To be aware of and operate within specific legal and national frameworks in relation to the care of children. E.g. The Children Act
