We are recruiting for a Specialist Renal Dietitian who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
The post holder working as part of the multidisciplinary team, will demonstrate specialist knowledge, skill and expertise within one or more clinical areas including the management of adults presenting with acute kidney injury and chronic kidney disease, underpinned by theory and post graduate clinical experience. They will work collaboratively with the renal dietitians and members of the multi-disciplinary team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, providing dietetic leadership as required.

As a specialist practitioner, with knowledge, skill and clinical experience, will assess and treat own specialist renal clinical caseload within a variety of settings. This will involve regular travel across a large geographical area e.g. to satellite dialysis units, outreach clinics
Undertake the training and development of dietitians, students and members of the MDT
Undertake the clinical supervision of qualified dietitians and student dietitians within the department
Authorised signatory for small cash/financial payments for example travel expenses for junior staff
Working collaboratively with the renal dietitians, will contribute to service development of the renal nutrition and dietetic service within renal medicine
Undertake research and audit that supports quality and service improvement
