An excellent opportunity has risen for a Band 6 Pharmacy Technician Manager to join our Procurement and Distribution team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust.

Main duties of the job

Asisst the Procurement And Distribution Team Leader in managing the Procurement and Distribution (P&D) service within the pharmacy department and acting as line manager to the Specialist Pharmacy Technician for Procurement & Distribution and Higher-Level Technicians.

Ensuring a safe, high quality patient centred P&D service.

Planning, development, monitoring, audit, evaluation, and delivery of the P&D service across the Trust.

Management of regional and national contracts, ensuring departmental compliance.

Ensuring that appropriate training is provided for all staff working in the area and complete training records are available and maintained.

Participating in the wider strategic agenda for pharmacy technicians.

To be successful in applying for this role you will need:

Registered Pharmacy Technician: Member of General Pharmaceutical Council

Experience of hospital pharmacy at Post Registration Pharmacist level

Able to prioritise and manage own workload

Work, communicate and provide effective leadership within a team

Clear and concise verbal and written communication to ensure liaison with multi-disciplinary team, patients and carers and to ensure records are kept accurately and in a legible manner

To have a positive attitude

Prepared to attend any training sessions necessary for personal and service development.

In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of

  • Relevant Qualifiactions
  • Registration with the relevant Registration Body if applicable.
