We are recruiting for a Social Worker at Greater Manchester Mental Health (Adult Community Mental Health Team).

Bolton, Manchester, Salford, Trafford and Wigan. The Trust also provides a wide

Main duties of the job
The postholder will be a member of the multidisciplinary team, working both independently and alongside others to provide primary mental health care to patients. As a social worker, you'll assist people in finding answers to their difficulties. This could involve supporting people to live independently or shielding vulnerable individuals from injury or abuse. Social workers improve the lives of individuals and families by assisting them in doing so; you will work with clients, their families, and others, including: the elderly, young offenders, families at risk of breaking down, and children at risk of abuse or neglect.

Advise health colleagues in respect
of key legislation and social policy which inform social work
practice.
Assess and monitor the mental health and social care needs of
service users and carers as part of an integrated team, sharing
information in an appropriate and secure manner using both
electronic and paper-based systems.
Work in partnership with other statutory, voluntary and community
agencies working towards greater social inclusion for services users
and carers
In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of

- To have a professional qualification in Social Work (degree or postgraduate programme)
- To be registered with Social Work England
- To have the suitable experience in a mental health setting or have at least 6 months post qualifying experience within the mental health field.
- To be able to have excellent time management, organisation skills and maintain professionalism.
- Have a full and valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes due to the community element of the role.
