Main duties of the job

  • Deliver a comprehensive, effective Occupational Health service which promotes the health and wellbeing of Trust employees and external organisations for whom a contractual service is provided.
  • Working autonomously as a member of the People & Organisational Directorate (P&OD) to improve the health & wellbeing of the Trust.
  • The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of the People and Organsiational Development Strategy in relation to occupational healt, to create an engaged and well supported workforce and make us an employer of choice.

The Role:

What youll be responsible for

  • Be an integral member of the Occupational Health Team; promoting health and wellbeing in line with the Trust Health and Wellbeing strategy.
  • To assist in the delivery of a comprehensive OH & W service with the OH Lead, monitoring service KPIs , identifying and taking timely interventions to ensure we meet the service level agreement.
  • Provide clinical support and training opportunities to the junior members of the OH & W team. Triage management referrals and deal with complex cases.
  • Advise managers of appropriate frameworks for a timely return to work for employees who are experiencing sickness absence
  • Carry out pre-employment screening and assessments providing health clearances in accordance with Department of Health legislation and best practice guidelines
