Job summary

Main duties of the job

  • Based within Tameside General Hospital, you will be responsible for supporting the wards by observing a bay of patients who are at risk of falls.
  • You will implement activities to engage with our patients, and document Therapeutic Interventions. (Full Training will be provided)
  • In addition to this, you will be assisting the patients with their all activities of daily living including oral intake, basic hygiene needs such as hair care, assisting the patients to the toilet.
  • We expect you to complete documentation about the care provided and all documentation relevant to falls, adhering with the Trusts documentation requirements to assist our wider Nursing Team.
  • The purpose of this role is to provide front line support for the Wards at Tameside General Hospital and to prevent falls for our vulnerable patients.

  • of a Registered Nurse.
  • Be able to carry out ward clerical tasks, as required.
  • Be able to assist with patient care activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Carry out any tasks required to maintain the safety, cleanliness and tidiness
  • of the ward area.
