Job summary
NHS Professionals are looking for experienced Nursery Assistants to join the bank to support the Childrens nursery at University Hospital Southampton. There are two sites Southampton General Hospital & Western Community Hospital.
- Band 2 role £11.45 per hour
With more experience will be consider as higher position
- Offer fixable working hours between Monday to Friday 0730-1830
Main duties of the job
- Provide activities for children 0-5
- Care and Nurture for young children
- Ensure that the children and their families are cared for and supported

- To provide a wide range of enjoyable, stimulating, and educational activities for a group of children aged 0-5
- Offering the highest standards of childcare, our nurseries have dedicated teams of experienced professionals who are committed to helping children from three-months five years old get the best possible start in life. Taplins offer a safe, happy, and nurturing environment where children can reach their full potential in an atmosphere where they feel valued and cared for.
- To provide continuity of care for the groups of children within the Day Nursery ensuring that each child is provided with a safe, secure, emotionally, and physically stimulating environment and programme of activities in which to develop.
- You are responsible for ensuring that the patient, family, and carers are at the centre of everything you do.
- Be open, honest, and willing to acknowledge when something has gone wrong. Make timely apologies and take action to report incidents, including near misses; to ensure that as an organisation we learn.

- Must be able to demonstrate experience as a nursery assistant
- Have experience working with children aged 0-5
- Understand that an enhanced DBS check will have to be done
