We are recruiting for a Clinical Psychologist at Northern Care Allience NHS Foundation Trust (Clinical Health Psychology, Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences)

Main duties of the job
The post holder will evaluate a patient's problem using direct observation, interviews, and methods such as psychometric testing. Shared decision-making is necessary for psychological intervention with the client and frequently with their family members and carers.
In order to enhance patients' quality of life, you will plan and implement treatments in collaboration with service users. Typically, this happens over the course of several individual, couple, family, or group sessions. Along with providing therapy, you'll teach other supervisory staff, conduct research, and manage teams of clinicians.
The post holder will work in a highly specialist Weight Management/Bariatric Psychology service as part of the Clinical Health Psychology team at Salford Royal Foundation Trust. Some input into other specialist areas of Health Psychology may be required to assist with waiting list management.
The post holder will be expected to cover referrals for patients with weight management issues as well as provide psychological assessment of patients who are hoping to have bariatric surgery.
You'll receive training to assist people of all ages who are experiencing psychological distress or behavioural issues that interfere with their ability to function normally and feel good.
