The Trust was
the first hospital in Europe to treat patients with Puritan Bennett 980
ventilators, a type of ventilator that helps patients to breathe more naturally
and recover more quickly.
Hertfordshire
has the best of both worlds, surrounded by beautiful countryside but with good
road and rail links to both London and Cambridge, as well as comprehensive bus
services across the main towns (Hemel Hempstead, St. Albans and Watford).
