Are you an experienced Paramedic? Do you have evidence-based experience and are looking for flexible working opportunities?
This will be to work in the Emergency Department as a member of the wider UEC team working in a dedicated space. This provides care for pre and post ED cohorting including both undifferentiated and differentiated patient cohorts.
You will also have the opportunity to work in the wider department at times utilising your skills within ambulatory care or majors.
Main duties of the job
Undertake the full range of paramedic duties in line with the Trusts operational instructions.
Assess, treat, manage, patients according to the nature and severity of their condition and collaborate with nursing and medical teams to ensure evidence-based provision of care
Carry out paramedic duties commensurate with national clinical practice guidelines
Participate in the development of an integrated approach to the delivery of emergency and urgent care involving all relevant stakeholders including health and social care organisations.
use their clinical ability and experience to monitor patients for deterioration and escalate as appropriate
using nerve centre (following training) to record observations and document care.
administer medication using the EPMA system (following training) in line with (UHP) Medicines Management Policy
Undertake necessary investigations as required such as venepuncture, cannulation and ECG recording using ICM / nervecentre following training as required.
Escalation of deterioration of the patient in line with UHP policies to the Ambulance Corridor Nurse and or EPIC
