Main duties of the job
About the Trust
East
and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust works across hospital sites, providing a full
range of services, including specialist care in urology, renal medicine,
cancer, plastic surgery and ophthalmology.
Hertfordshire
has the best of both worlds, surrounded by beautiful countryside but with good
road and rail links to both London and Cambridge, as well as comprehensive bus
services across the main towns, including to and from all of the Trust sites.
What youll be
responsible for
- Responsible
for ensuring the patient environment is maintained and improved.
- To report incidents
involving patients and members of staff to the Lead or Senior Nurse or Senior
manager on-call to ensure where possible corrective action is taken.
- Carry continuous
responsibility for standards of care.
- To
co-ordinate nursing procedures and treatments, set standards and maintain high
levels of care. By effective workforce management/supervision of staff ensure
safe documented practice and co-ordinate risk assessments where situations may
be detrimental to the health and well-being of an individual. To maintain a
safe environment.
Qualifications/experience:
- A minimum of 6 months paid experience in an
Acute hospital environment within the last 3 years
- Comply with NMC Professional Registration and
keep up to date with current nursing practices
- Ensure accurate records are kept in accordance
with CHS policy and NMC guidelines

with CHS policy and NMC guidelines
- Undertake regular mandatory training*
