Dental Nurse

Job summary

Dr A. M. Tabrizi Dental Practice are looking to welcome an experienced dental nurse to join their team. This position is offered on a part-time basis working Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 8:45am - 5:00pm.

We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic individual who takes pride in their work and is passionate about patient care. The ideal candidate will be flexible to cover holidays and sickness, professional and confident in supporting both clinical and occasional reception duties within a busy practice environment.

As a dental nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting clinicians and ensuring the smooth running of the practice.

Main duties of the job

• Chairside assistance during a wide range of dental procedures
• Preparing and sterilising instruments in line with cross-infection control protocols
• Maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment
• Preparing treatment rooms before and after patient appointments
• Assisting with patient care and ensuring comfort and reassurance
• Maintaining accurate patient records
• Using dental software SOE (Exact)for clinical notes and administration
• Occasional reception duties when required, including answering calls, booking appointments and welcoming patients
• Ensuring compliance with CQC, GDC and health & safety regulations
• Undertaking other tasks within your capabilityas required to support the smooth running of the practice

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

• National Diploma in Dental Nursing Level 3 (or equivalent)
• Valid GDC registration
• Valid indemnity insurance

Experience

Essential

• Previous experience working as a Dental Nurse
• Experience using dental software SOE (Exact) (preferred but not essential)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, punctual and well-organised
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
